Realization for the Symposium of Predaia 2021:

The problem is something that is encountered, which obstructs us
Street. It is in front of me in its entirety. Instead the mystery is
something in which I find myself engaged and therefore does not come to
be in front of me in its totality.

Gabriel Marcel, To be or to have, 1935

The sculpture proposed by Chiara has the title “(Re) Birth of the Look” (orig. “(Ri) nascita dello sguardo).

Starting from Marcel’s words, the artist thinks that we humans investigate and focus only on his problems and not on the mysteries of everything that happens to us in our lives. We never take the time to try to re-read and reinterpret the encounters that take place every day.

By now, addicted to what surrounds us, we are blind, We do not look at life but we limit ourselves only to seeing what surrounds it.

The (Re) birth of the Look has the desire to represent the moment in which a person stops, takes time to observe Reality in its entirety and to seek Serenity through the eyes.
