From Monday 2 August until Saturday 7 August 2021 the 2021 edition of the Symposium took place magnificently as part of the “Predaia Art and Nature” project, born from the strong experience of the past 17 editions of the sculpture competition “Wood comes back to life” .

The town of Coredo, once again transformed into a wood workshop, hosted 7 international sculptors selected on the basis of a preventive project from over 60 applications received.

The artists had the wonderful opportunity to carve the trunks at the suggestive shores of Lake Coredo.

One of the artists, on the other hand, had the difficult task of creating a work of “Colomela art”, a composition of “land art” created by reusing the “colomele” and “shingles” resulting from the traditional competition of skill “Festa della Colomela”.

The theme of this third edition was “THE MYSTERY AND THE REBIRTH OF NATURE”

Every year, after the winter hibernation, nature returns to the fore with explosions of new colors and shapes.

But the spring of this year teaches us more than usual that, if left undisturbed, nature seems to be able to heal its wounds by itself and regain its space. As if to demonstrate that every attempt by man to intervene on this huge living organism inevitably leads to its ruin.

Among as many as 50 artists for the wood carving section and 10 for the work of “colomela art”, the following sculptors have ventured and given free rein to their art:
