Wir kennen den Künstler:
Pavel Špelda, Holzschnitzermeister und Restaurator, wurde 1977 in Nachod (Tschechische Republik) geboren.
Nach dem Besuch der School of Art in Prag und des College in Sidney, Australien, kehrt er nach Hause zurück, um ein Masterstudium an der Academy of Arts zu absolvieren.
Seit 1996 arbeitet er als freiberuflicher Mitarbeiter in Červený Kostelec (Tschechische Republik) und nimmt an Seminaren, Messen, Wettbewerben und Ausstellungen oder Gruppenausstellungen im In- und Ausland teil und gewann verschiedene Preise und Erwähnungen.
«Meine Spezialität ist die kunstvolle Holzschnitzerei. Zu unserer Arbeit gehören auch Techniken wie Vergolden, Restaurieren und Oberflächenveredelung mit klassischen Techniken. Das Studium und Interesse an klassischer Bildhauerei und Malerei führten mich dazu, die Schönheit des Holzes mit leichten figurativen Linien zu kombinieren, die ich als Botschaft präsentiere».
Umsetzung für das Symposium von Predaia 2022:
Die von Pavel vorgeschlagene Skulptur trägt den Titel „Naturalistic Path“.
Ein Tag durch Wald, Park und Natur immer Protagonist in den Gedanken für ein gesundes Weltbild. Viele Sorgen und Schwierigkeiten werden in der Natur aus einer anderen Perspektive wahrgenommen und oft neue Lösungen gefunden.
Das Design dieser Skulptur „Naturalistic Path“ des Autors Pavel Spelda fängt diese Situation ein, präsentiert verschiedene Hohlräume parallel, daher unterschiedliche Prozesse und neue Visionen.
Gerade in der heutigen schwierigen und unsicheren Zeit ist ein optimistischer Blick auf die Welt sehr wichtig.

We know the Artist:
Master craftsman wood carver and restorer, Pavel Špelda was born in 1977 in Nachod (Czech Republic).
After attending the School of Art in Prague and the College in Sidney, Australian, he returns home to attend a Masters degree at the Academy of Arts.
Since 1996, he has been working as a freelance in Červený Kostelec (Czech Republic) and participates in seminars, fairs, competitions and exhibitions or group exhibitions at home and abroad, winning various prizes and mentions.
«My specialty is artistic wood carving. Our work also includes techniques such as gilding, restoration and surface finishing with the use of classical techniques. The study and interest in classical sculpture and painting lead me to combine the beauty of wood with light figurative lines, which I present as a message».
Realization for the Symposium of Predaia 2022:
The sculpture proposed by Pavel has the title „Naturalistic Path“.
A day through a forest, park and nature always protagonist in the thoughts for a healthy vision of the world. Many worries and difficulties are perceived in nature from a different perspective and new solutions are often found.
The design of this sculpture „Naturalistic Path“ author Pavel Spelda, captures this situation, present different cavities in parallel therefore different processes and new visons.
Especially in today’s difficulties and in uncertain times, having an optimistic view of the world is very important.

Conosciamo l’Artista:
Maestro artigiano intagliatore di legno e restauratore, Pavel Špelda nasce nel 1977 a Nachod (Repubblica Ceca).
Dopo aver frequentato la Scuola d’Arte a Praga e il College a Sidney, in Australian, torna in patria per frequentare un Master all’accademia delle arti.
Dal 1996, lavora come freelance a Červený Kostelec (Repubblica Ceca) e partecipa a seminari, fiere, concorsi ed esposizioni o mostre collettive in patria e all’estero, aggiudicandosi svariati premi e menzioni.
«La mia specialità è la scultura artistica del legno. Il nostro lavoro comprende anche tecniche come la doratura, il restauro e la finitura superficiale con l’uso di tecniche classiche. Lo studio e l’interesse per la scultura e la pittura classiche mi portano a combinare la bellezza del legno con leggere linee figurative, che presento come messaggio».

La scultura proposta da Pavel ha come titolo „Sentiero naturalistico“.
Una giornata attraverso una foresta, parco e natura sempre protagonista nei pensieri per una salutare visione del mondo. Molte preoccupazioni e difficoltà sono percepite in natura da una prospettiva diversa e spesso si trovano nuove soluzioni.
Il disegno di questa scultura “Sentiero Naturalistico” autore Pavel Spelda, cattura questa situazione, presenti diversi cavità in parallelo quindi differenti processi e nuove visoni.
Specialmente nelle difficoltà al giorno d’oggi e in tempi incerti, avere una visione ottimistica del mondo è molto importante.

Die Arbeit spiegelt die Wege der Natur und des Menschen mit allem, was sie umgibt, in Verbindung miteinander wider.
Die Knoten symbolisieren Unbehagen, Schmerz, Krankheit.
Das Leben hat nicht nur eine direkte Richtung, es hat viele Kurven, Umleitungen, Sackgassen und vor allem Kreuzungen.
Für niemanden ist es einfach, aber zum Glück gibt es für jeden sicher einen Himmel und ein Land.
Meine Skulptur hat einen unendlichen Charakter. Wie um anzudeuten, dass wir, wenn die Natur ihr Ende zu erreichen scheint, erkennen werden, dass sie in Wirklichkeit nur ein Tor zu ihrer neuen Richtung ist … was wunderbar ist!

The work reflects the ways of nature and humans with everything that surrounds them in connection with each other.
The knots symbolize discomfort, pain, disease.
Life does not only have a direct direction, it has many curves, redirects, dead ends and above all intersections.
For no one it is easy, but luckily there is a heaven and a land for sure for everyone.
My sculpture has an infinite character. As if to indicate that if nature seems to reach its end we will realize that, in reality, it is just a gate to a new direction of its own … which is wonderful!

La scultura realizzata da Pavel ha come titolo „Sorgenti naturali“ (orig. „Natural Springs“)
L’opera riflette i modi della natura e degli umani con tutto ciò che li avvolge in connessione tra loro.
I nodi simboleggiano il disagio, il dolore, la malattia.
La vita non ha solo una direzione diretta, ha molte curve, reindirizzamenti, vicoli ciechi e soprattutto incroci.
Per nessuno è facile, ma per fortuna ci sono un cielo e una terra di sicuro per tutti.
La mia scultura ha un carattere infinito. Come a indicare che se la natura sembra raggiungere la sua fine ci renderemo conto che, in realtà, è solo un cancello verso una sua nuova direzione … il che è meraviglioso!
